The Fianna Fail MEP Liam Aylward says that the EU will not be able to introduce the reforms to the Common Agricultural Policy on time. He says delays in reaching agreement on the EU’s budget for 2014 to 2020 will have a knock-on effect on brokering the CAP reforms in time for their implemenation at the beginning of 2014. Mr Aylward says certain net contributors to the EU’s budget are reluctant to contribute as much as they have in the past. |
