Only asylum seekers who want to move from the Mosney accommodation centre should be asked to do so. That’s the call from Socialist Party MEP Joe Higgins. It follows a visit by the Euro-MP to the site on Monday and protests by residents to try to stop over 100 people being transferred to hostels elsewhere. Joe Higgins says many of them have built up relationships at the centre and with local people and organisations which would be destroyed if they’re forced to move. |
