Title: European Court upholds competition in Irish airlines, says de Rossa (1 of 3) |
Of interest to: 20 |
Script details: |
Labour MEP, Proinsias de Rossa, says a European court made the right decision to disallow a Ryanair takeover of Aer Lingus. The General Court of the European Union, part of the European Court of Justice, concluded that a merger of the two airlines would significantly impede competition, particularly on routes from Dublin, Cork and Shannon. Proinsias de Rossa says both companies need to stay separate to give passengers value for money. |
