Of interest to: 20 |
Script details: |
Irish MEP, Liam Aylward, fears small bus operators will go bust if EU proposals get the go ahead. MEPs in the European Parliament today backed plans for compensation to passengers delayed by more than two hours. No final EU decision has been reached on the ideas. But iy they get the go ahead, staff would also have to be trained to assist disabled passengers and vehicles would have to be made more accessible. Fianna Fail MEP, Liam Aylward, says he’s worried that the burden to make all those changes may drive small bus companies out of business. NOTE TO EDITORS: For background see bit.ly/b54JMq |
