Of interest to: 20 |
Script details: |
Irish boat passengers are set to benefit from new rights similar to those enjoyed when flying after a vote in the European Parliament. From 2012 boat passengers will have to be rerouted or offered compensation if their journeys are delayed by more than 90 minutes. Politicians in Strasbourg also agreed that disabled passengers should get free assistance with boarding at the ports. Fine Gael MEP, Jim Higgins, is welcoming the changes.
